Michael Andrew Wallace

October 23, 1959 - August 18, 2021

Our beloved brother, Michael Andrew Wallace, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on August 18, 2021. He was a Christian by faith and loved the Lord. Michael was born on October 23, 1959 to the late Lee Andrew Wallace and Eleanor Davis Meorlines in Cumberland, North Carolina. Mike moved to Mentone, Alabama in 2000. He became the manager of the Shady Grove Dude Ranch and devoted his life for the pasta 15 years. Mike was very passionate about the Alabama Crimson Tide football, his loyal dog Precious, and he was so thankful for his devoted and loving sister for being by his side every day until the very end. Mike had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need! He was loved by so many and will be forever missed. Mike was a veteran of the United States Army. Mike is preceded in death by his parents Andrew Wallace and Eleanor Moerlins and his brother David L. Sims. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted sister Laurie Gourd of Rainsville, Alabama; brother Richard A. Sims (Judy) of Cushing, Oklahoma; nephew Jason A. Fish (Ricci); great-nieces Cameron and Grayci; and great-nephew Jayden, all of Harrah, Oklahoma. No services are planned at this time. Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
