Annie Bell Davis Corbin

Annie Bell Bearden Davis Corbin, 83, of Rainsville, Alabama passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham. Annie Bell moved to DeKalb County in the 1930s from Marshall County with her family. She retired from Baptist Medical Center in Fort Payne, where she worked as a nurse for over 28 years. She was an active member of Concord Baptist Church, and visited shut-ins and seniors regularly with the Singing Seniors. Visitation will be Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Wilson Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Ronnie Highfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Ollie Corbin of Rainsville, Alabama; daughter and son-in-law Yvonne and Michael Toombs of Sylvania; daughter and son-in-law Felicia and Curtis Crowe of Sylvania; son and daughter-in-law John Edward “Butch” and Joni Davis of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister Jimmie Nell Thomas of Scottsboro, Alabama; granddaughters Vanessa Cantrell Brandau and husband Matt of Millbrook, Alabama, Valerie Cantrell McBrayer of Fort Payne, and Brynn Davis of Virginia Beach; grandson John Aaron Davis of Virginia Beach; great-grandchildren Andrew Blake McBrayer, Evan Matthew Brandau, Abigail RaeAnn McBrayer, and Reid Cantrell Brandau; sister-in law Hazel Davis Smith and niece Faye Smith; step-son Dwight Corbin and wife Janie of Chattanooga, Tennessee; step-daughter Glenda Gilbert and husband Kenneth of Rainsville, Alabama; step-grandchildren Timothy Gilbert and wife Angela, Lisa Hawkins and husband Neil, Steven Corbin and Carolyn Corbin, Rebecca White and husband Brawney; step-great-grandchildren Andy Corbin, Brittnay Gregory, Brannon and Gage White, Ashley and Kirsten Gilbert, Jade and Isaac Hawkins. Annie Bell was preceeded in death by her beloved husband, John M. “Jack” Davis, parents Aaron and Tempie Lee Rodgers Bearden, and brothers O’Neal Bearden, Raymond Eugene Bearden, Emmitt Russell Bearden, Chester Ray Bearden, and James Monroe Bearden, and one sister, Sue Fowler Chamblee.
